This information was derived from a survey of Dutch IT decision makers done by data centre operator BIT, a Dutch colocation provider. Seven out of ten (72 percent) IT decision-makers reported that their organization's data was (partially) housed in the Netherlands. If enterprises elect to keep their data outside of the nation, the majority of it is stored in another European Union country (18%), followed by European countries outside the European Union and the United States (both 8 percent ).
