Hundreds of GoDaddy Hosted Websites are infected by Backdoor Malware in a Single Day

Recommended Posts

Backdoor malware is a form of malware that disables the standard authentication mechanism for gaining access to a system. As a result, remote access is granted to resources within an application, such as databases and file servers, allowing criminals to remotely access a system using commands and simply update the virus.

Backdoor infections on WordPress websites hosted by GoDaddy's Managed WordPress service have increased, according to internet security specialists. All of these websites have the same backdoor payload. Other internet service resellers affected by this issue include Host Europe Managed WordPress, MediaTemple, tsoHost, 123Reg, Domain Factory, and Heart Internet.
